To be paired-opposite Salman Khan, especially female-actors who are not very old in B-Town is like a dream come true. However, Shreya Saran is one actor who values money more than the dream. If sources are to be believed, Shreya was the first choice of Boney Kapoor for the role in his forthcoming venture Wanted, which later went to Ayesha Takia Azmi.

According to reliable sources, “Shreya was supposed to do the role but things did not work out over the monetary front as Shreya’s mother and manager had demanded for more than what Shreya was being offered.” The source further adds, “So, later Ayesha Takia Azmi was roped in opposite Salman in the film.”

Wanted marks the directorial debut venture of actor-choreographer Prabhu Deva.

Among many other things (acting included) Asin’s a pucca professional when it comes to whistling. Yep, we mean the roadside Romeo seetee maar, types. And if her friends are to be believed, Asin is so good at it that she can give the boys a run for their seetees, too.

Not just that, give her any tune, however complicated, and she will effortlessly whistle the tune for you. Apparently in the past, her directors have put her seetee skills to good use. Over the coming weeks we will be putting a focus on Tamil Actresses since we think they are some of the most beautiful women in the world. Our first is Asin Thottumkal of Kerala, a Southern Indian State.

For Asin, her next release after Ghajini is crucial. The promos of her next film, London Dreams, are out and it did not please the southern star as she is seen in exactly one shot.

Asin isn’t kicked about the fact that Ajay and Salman feature in it prominently, while she has a blink-and-miss appearance. Apparently, Asin spoke to Vipul Shah about this as she was upset.

A source said, “When Asin learnt that she was hardly a part of the first theatrical promo of the film, she spoke to Vipul. Asin is very eager to see the response of the audience, especially since this will be her first release after Ghajini which was the biggest hit of last year. However, she was very disappointed with the promos. Vipul explained to her that since it is the story of two friends, he needed to have more of Salman and Ajay in the first promo. However, Asin was far from convinced and is sulking.”

Vipul Shah hopes that Asin comes around after seeing the other promos as he says he is not trying to sideline her. He said, “All I want to say is that this is just the first teaser of the film. Please don’t be in a hurry to judge anybody’s importance and let me say clearly that Asin is a very important part of my film. Let some other promos release and everything will be fine. I am aware that this is Asin’s first release after Ghajini and the expectations are huge. Let me assure everybody, especially fans of Asin, that they won’t be disappointed.”

Bhavana, who had an impressive debut in Kollywood in Mysskin’s Chithiram Pesudadi went on to do many films with leading heroes in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. She was last seen in Jayamkondan with Vinay after which there appears to have been a dry spell in her Kollywood career. This lull has been broken by her current prestigious venture Asal with Ultimate Star Ajith where she plays the leading lady along with Sameera Reddy.

However there have been widespread theories that Bhavana is not the actual heroine in Asal and her role is not as meaty as Sameera’s. While clearing the air on this issue, this petite actress said, “People are even wondering how I accepted this role because they think that I am only the second heroine. But it is not so. There are two heroines in the film and I am one of them.” Bhavana further added that she has two duets with Ajith. This should certainly put to rest any ambiguity related to the heroine issue of Asal.
